Mud and canvas

I’ve been getting muddy all this week. It’s in preperation for our Church’s thrice-yearly Bank holiday bash in our ‘goldern’ marquee. Well, the canvas is up, the carpets are nailed down, the chairs are all in and mud kept at bay (hopefully).

There’s something special about being part of a team of guys who are all part of a cause they’re passionate about enough to be working their socks off for. We don’t get paid for this (except teabreaks!). It’s something rare, and is often only found (in a fleeting, lesser form) in the army, football terraces etc. It’s unity, the kind Jesus prayed for.

So we’re nearly ready to receive the swarm of techies on Tuesday and Friday, then a thousand or so people for a celebratory, potent, modern Jesus Army style weekend together!

Will I be seeing you there? It’s gonna be good.
